Antonio Piccininni is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and materials processing. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Research Associate at Politecnico di Bari since March 2020, Antonio's prior roles include Postdoctoral Researcher and PHD Student at the same institution, where a PhD focused on novel processes for sheet metal forming of aluminium alloys was completed. Experience includes a research fellowship investigating superplastic forming technology for titanium biomedical prostheses, a visiting PhD position at The Ohio State University exploring methodologies to enhance the formability of aluminum alloys, and previous academic research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
