Alessandro Romei

Tenure-track Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano

Alessandro Romei is a Junior Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano since June 2021, focusing on research in supercritical carbon dioxide systems, green power production, and energy storage, while actively participating in multiple European and national funded projects. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher, where development of computational methods for two-phase flows in the green-energy sector was a primary responsibility, as well as positions as a Visiting Researcher at École Polytechnique and Research Fellow at Politecnico di Milano, where contributions were made to evolutionary optimization techniques for turbomachinery. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology, a Master of Science in Energy Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, all obtained from Politecnico di Milano, complemented by an advanced internship at von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics focusing on the design of Multi-Stage Centrifugal Compressors.
