Laurie Clarke

Laurie Clarke is a tech reporter at POLITICO Europe since May 2023, with a diverse background in journalism and writing. Previous experience includes serving as a freelance journalist from January 2022 to May 2023, a reporter at New Statesman Tech from February 2020 to December 2021, and a staff writer at WIRED UK from July 2019 to February 2020. Laurie also worked as a freelance writer at Canvas8 between June 2015 and July 2019, and held a staff writer position at IDG from April 2018 to June 2019. Early in career development, Laurie spent time as a marketing assistant at Castle Craig Hospital in 2017. Laurie’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Media, Communications and International Journalism from the University of Glasgow (2015-2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UCL (2012-2015).
