Ben Lefebvre

Ben Lefebvre is an experienced oil and gas policy reporter currently working at POLITICO since February 2017. Prior to this role, Ben served as a Senior LNG Reporter at ICIS Energy from May 2014 to January 2017, focusing on energy issues in East Asia, including LNG, nuclear power, coal, and renewables. Ben's career also includes reporting for The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswires on the shale oil and gas boom from October 2010 to March 2014, covering the energy industry and general news. Earlier experience includes reporting on petrochemical and biofuel markets at ICIS and covering suburban Chicago governments and immigration for the Chicago Sun-Times. Ben holds a BS in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and has additional educational experience at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities.
