Melissa Cooke

Melissa Cooke has a diverse work experience in the communications and public relations field. Melissa most recently worked at POLITICO as a Communications Director, where they held the role since January 2020. Prior to that, Melissa worked as a Booking Manager at POLITICO from June 2019 to January 2020, and as a Media Booker from June 2018 to June 2019. Before joining POLITICO, they gained experience at NBC News, working as a Public Relations Assistant from June 2017 to May 2018. Melissa also interned at NBC News as a Booking Intern from January 2017 to May 2017, and as a Communications Intern from September 2016 to December 2016. Melissa's early experience includes internships at Cone Communications as a Brand Communications Intern from May 2016 to August 2016, and at Laura Davidson Public Relations as a Public Relations Intern from January 2016 to May 2016.

Melissa Cooke obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Hofstra University between 2013 and 2017. Additionally, they completed double minors in Public Relations and Psychology during their time at the university.
