Louise Alkjær has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Louise worked as a Lecturer at Folkeuniversitetet starting from September 2004. From September 2002, they served as a Freelance Journalist & Author for Politiken, where they authored the guide book to Egypt.

Furthermore, Louise worked for Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek for a significant period. From January 1998 to July 2018, they held the position of Museum Guide. During this role, they conducted art talks, educational tours, and guided tours in Danish and English, mainly focusing on the Egyptian Collection. Additionally, they served as an Assistant to the curator. Louise'sresponsibilities included object registration, guided tours, photography projects, and writing about objects from Ancient Nubia. Louise also worked on remodelling exhibits and projects for middle school pupils.

Louise's involvement with Danmarks Rejsebureau Forening began in February 2012 and continued until July 2023. Within this role, they engaged in various tasks such as communication, technology updates, administration, and networking in communications and tourism. Louise contributed to articles, newsletters, and website content, managed member services, coordinated meetings, and maintained member information.

Later, they worked at Atlantis Rejser as part of the Travel Agency Marketing team from October 2008 to January 2012.

Most recently, Louise commenced their tenure as a Consultant at Dansk Erhverv in July 2023.

Louise Alkjær obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Danish Language and Literature from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. This took place from 2016 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) / Cand. Mag. in Egyptology at the same institution, from 1994 to 2005. Louise'seducational journey started with a Studentereksamen in Classic studies and general humanities, which they completed at Helsingør Gymnasium from 1987 to 1988.
