James Secor

James Secor has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James is currently working as a Software Engineer at Polly (formerly DealerPolicy) since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Developer at Bear Code LLC from July 2020 to December 2021. From June 2017 to July 2020, they served as a Software Developer at Union Mutual. Before entering the tech industry, they gained administrative experience as an Administrative Assistant at Studio Place Arts from May 2015 to June 2017. James also worked as a Tutor at Community College of Vermont in August 2016. In the field of youth services, James held the position of Northfield Teen Center Director at WASHINGTON COUNTY YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU AND BOYS & GIRLS CLUB from August 2013 to May 2015, and also served as an AmeriCorps member from June 2012 to August 2013. In academia, they worked as a Part-time Instructor at Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences in the fall of 2011. Additionally, they gained international teaching experience as an English Second Language Teacher through the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA from September 2010 to May 2011. Overall, James has a strong background in software development and has also gained experience in administrative, educational, and youth service-related roles throughout their career.

James Secor received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in French Language and Literature from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. James attended this institution from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Certificate in Advanced Software Development in the field of Computer Software Engineering from Vermont Technical College, completing their studies there from 2016 to 2017.
