William Thomson

William Thomson has a diverse work experience in software engineering. William is currently working as a Software Engineer at PolyAI since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Kitt Medical, where they led the development of the frontend platform for their MedTech startup. William was responsible for creating software that is active in over 100 U.K. locations. From June 2021 to July 2022, William worked as a Full-stack Software Engineer at Openkit, a software development studio. William'srole involved full-stack web development using React, Node.js, Google Firebase, and Google Cloud. Before that, they worked as a Software Developer at JoMo Mail, where they focused on back-end web development for their private and encrypted webmail service. William also gained experience in database design and management using SQL and PHPMyAdmin. William started their career as a Software Development Intern at Nomadic Software, where they worked for six months and gained valuable experience in software development.

William Thomson completed their Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Durham University, which they attended from 2017 to 2020. William then pursued further education at Imperial College London, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, they obtained the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) from the Association for Project Management in November 2020, and the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2021.
