Gopal Nadkarni

Gopal Nadkarni is an Associate Professor at The University of Akron since March 2014, specializing in technology-based startups and serving as a Lean Launchpad Instructor. Gopal is also the Director of the Proof of Concept Center at zSense, an innovative startup focused on advanced oil condition monitoring equipment. As a founding member of PolyLux, Gopal contributes to the development of photo releasable adhesives for various applications. Previously, Gopal established Yugat Urban Farms, promoting sustainable aeroponic urban farming practices. Gopal's extensive industry experience includes roles as Vice President at Shale-Inland and Strategic Marketing Manager at ArcelorMittal Steel USA. Gopal holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and has a solid research background, including a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Queen's University and a Research Fellowship at Rio Tinto Alcan.
