Sonia Moyano

Sonia Moyano has a diverse range of work experience spanning different roles in the field of finance and accounting. Sonia started their career as a Junior Accountant at Espacio & Mercadeo S. A in 2015, where they supported tax preparation, payroll reconciliation, and accounting adjustments. Sonia then joined Banco de la República - Colombia in 2014 as an Operational Analyst, responsible for analyzing fixed assets, updating inventory information, and reconciling systems. In 2017, they joined Polymath Ventures as an Accountant, supervising various accounting processes and activities, such as cash reconciliations, payroll processing, and implementing accounting policies. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, and Finance and Accounting Manager, where they managed teams, prepared financial statements, and optimized financial structures for different companies within the group. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Finance and Accounting at Polymath Ventures, where they lead the finance and accounting team, guides the construction of financial models and reports, and optimizes the financial structure for the group's companies.

Sonia Moyano has a comprehensive education history in the field of business and accounting. Sonia obtained a degree in Accounting and Finance, known as "Contador Público," from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they completed a degree in Business Administration, known as "Administrador de Empresas," from the same university, studying from 2009 to 2015. In 2017 to 2018, they pursued a specialization in International Audit and Public Accounting, known as "Especialista en Auditoría Internacional y Revisoría Fiscal," from Universidad Externado de Colombia. Furthermore, Sonia has also acquired additional certifications, including the "Certificado en Presentación de Información Financiera Internacional" from ACCA in 2019 and the "Certificado en Auditoría Internacional" from ACCA in 2018.
