Nikolay Kovshov

Nikolay Kovshov has been involved in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2009. In 2009, they were the R&D Lead at a family office, where they searched for opportunities for news-based trading, designed algorithms for automatic trading and text analysis, developed trading applications, and managed analysts work. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at WWPass Corporation as the Lead Software Developer, where they developed a 24x7 distributed storage system, storage API, and managed new hardware installations. From 2013 to 2016, they were the Lead Analyst at QWave Capital, where they managed the venture process steps such as pipeline management, client communications, analytics of applicants and portfolio companies, technical and business DD, and assisting portfolio companies with fundraising. Nikolay is especially proud for managing a deal which lead the Fund to a very successful exit. From 2016 to 2019, they were the CIO at WISP by iGlass Technology and the Investment Director at FPI Innovation Fund LP. Finally, they are currently the Co-founder and Lead Scientist at POLYN Technology.

Nikolay Kovshov obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) between 1998 and 2007.
