Santosh Mahto

Santosh Mahto is a Senior Process Development Scientist at PolyPeptide Group since July 2022, with extensive experience in synthetic biology and peptide synthesis. Previously, Santosh held positions as a Senior Scientist and Staff Scientist II at EAG Laboratories from February 2017 to June 2022, and served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and The Ohio State University from August 2009 to January 2017. Santosh's research includes developing synthetic tools for histone modifications, total protein synthesis via solid phase ligation, and advancing techniques in peptide synthesis. Santosh earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry (Biological) from Wayne State University in 2009, where research focused on modified nucleotides in bacterial ribosomal RNA through various synthetic methodologies.
