Jake Neyer started their career as a system engineer at the United States Air Force in June 2014. Jake then transitioned to working as an applications programmer at DSA in May 2018. In this role, they developed IaC codebase utilizing Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible, and CloudFormation. Jake also maintained and developed apps with Python and Golang.

In August 2019, Jake Neyer began working as a software engineer at Striveworks. Jake was the tech lead for the Striveworks Chariot platform, which included services for active learning, efficient data storage, distributed model training, model cataloguing and inference, workflow execution, and notebook serving. Jake also did heavy full-stack Go, Python, and Typescript development for the company, specializing in distributed systems, RESTful/gRPC APIs, and event-driven architecture. In addition, Jake Neyer spearheaded an initiative to open source projects: Stampede, KubeGo Notebooks, LIteCow. Jake also designed and built company-wide hybrid cloud Kubernetes clusters and led a small team to deploy Openstack using IaC on HPC resource.

Jake Neyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Data Management/Data Analytics from Western Governors University, a Nanodegree in Data Analytics from Udacity, and an Associates in Information System Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Jake is also certified by SUSE as a Certified Linux Administrator, and by CompTIA as a CompTIA Project+ and Comptia A+ specialist. Additionally, they hold CIW Data Analyst and CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS certifications. Jake is also a Linux Professional Institute Certified LPIC-1: Linux Server Professional, and a The Linux Foundation Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator. Jake has CompTIA Network+ certification.

Jake Neyer reports to Nathan Yergler, CTO & Co-Founder. They work with James Clarke - Software Engineer, Brett Flora - Software Engineer, and James Palawaga - Software Engineer.
