Audrey Bilger

Audrey Bilger is an accomplished academic and leader in higher education. Currently serving as President at Reed College since April 2019, Audrey previously held the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Pomona College. A long-standing faculty member at Claremont McKenna College, Audrey's roles include Professor of Literature and Gender Studies, Faculty Director of the Center for Writing & Public Discourse, and Chair of the Literature Department. In addition, Audrey has extensive editorial experience, including work as a consultant for Omnivore Recordings and the EMI-Capitol Records Catalog Marketing Group, as well as a former Gender/Sexuality Editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books. Audrey's educational background includes dual Ph.D. degrees in English from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University.
