Rehan Durrani is a Founding Software Engineer at Ponder. Rehan was previously a Founding Engineer at a Stealth Startup from November 2021 to March 2022. Prior to that, they were a SysML Engineer at Determined AI from April 2021 to October 2021. Rehan Durrani started their career as an ML Algorithms Intern at Cerebras Systems from May 2020 to August 2020 where they performed NLP research into conditional computation techniques for model efficiency and performance and presented the findings to the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Rehan was also a Student Researcher at UC Berkeley RISELab from November 2017 to April 2021 where they performed systems research into building fast, scalable, & reliable, open source systems to serve Machine Learning (ML) & Deep Learning (DL) models as well as into distributed computing in parallelizing & distributing Pandas (Python API for data manipulation). Additionally, Rehan Durrani helped companies like NVIDIA, ARM, Intel, Ford, and LINE implement Prediction Serving (Clipper + ModelZoo.Live) in production. Rehan's most recent research project involves designing and implementing a DataFrame algebra which can be used to plan and optimize DataFrame queries.

Rehan Durrani has an Honors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Rehan also has a certification from the University of California, Berkeley in Bachelor of Science.
