Michael Macharia

Michael Macharia has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and business consulting. Michael started their career in 1998 as Sales & Marketing Manager for Comtech Systems, owned by the Aga Khan group. In 2000, they founded and became Group CEO of SevenSeas Technologies Group. In 2012, they joined the Board of Directors for KITOS, Kenya's IT and Outsourcing Services body. Michael was also a Board Member of TTCS Global (Kenya Subsidiary) and Advisory Board Member for Africa.com LLC in 2013. In 2017, they became a Director on the Board of Directors for Endeavor Kenya. In 2019, they founded and became Chief Visionary Officer of Ponea Health, an online healthcare marketplace. Michael is also a 2014 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and a graduate of Strathmore/IESE and Harvard Kennedy School.

Michael Macharia's education history includes a Bsc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Egerton University (1996-1997), a CPA-K in Accounting CPA & IDPM from Strathmore College (1994-1996), and O-Levels in KCSE from Strathmore School (1990-1993). Michael also completed an Advanced Management Program from Strathmore- IESE Business School, University of Navarra Barcelona Spain in 2009 and an Advanced Management degree from Harvard Kennedy School in 2017.
