Wendy Lorenz

Wendy Lorenz has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Wendy has held various roles in human resources, starting with their position as a College Recruiting Advanced Intern at Walt Disney World in 2000. From there, they worked as a Regional Employment Specialist at Alamo Rent-A-Car, where they developed relationships across the organization and implemented strategic staffing plans.

In 2002, Lorenz became a Regional Human Resources Representative at AVSC, where they provided HR support to a large number of team members across multiple locations. Wendy then moved on to Target, Inc, where they served as an Executive Team Leader in the HR department, focusing on staffing, retention, development, and brand experience.

Lorenz continued their career as an Area Recruiting Manager at RadioShack Corporation, providing recruiting support to multiple districts and conducting training classes for hiring managers. Wendy also worked as a Licensed Zumba Instructor at Zumba Fitness LLC before joining the City of Kenner as a Civil Services Administrator and later as a Civil Service Director.

In 2015, Lorenz became a Senior Human Resources Generalist at MedKoder, LLC, where they gained experience in all areas of HR. Wendy then joined POOLCORP in 2017 as a Senior Manager, HR before being promoted to Director, Human Resources.

In addition to their HR roles, Lorenz also served as a Conference Director at LASHRM, organizing and coordinating conferences. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Wendy Lorenz, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Louisiana State University between 1995 and 2000. In 2012, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
