Mauricio Villamizar

Co-Founder & CEO at Pop & Rest

Mauricio Villamizar is the co-founder and CEO of Pop & Rest, a company that provides short-term housing for digital nomads and other travelers. Prior to Pop & Rest, Mauricio was an intern at BRKV, where they were in charge of the communication plan in a business project addressed to business travelers. Mauricio also worked on the development of the business idea and improvement of website and user's interface. Before that, Mauricio worked on a corporate project at Le Groupe La Poste, where they proposed a community scheme of SMEs based in Paris aiming the e-merchants and second half products companies all around France, working under a circular economy theory. Prior to that, they did their apprenticeship at Clínica FOSCAL, where they went through the different departments of the company, executing different tasks and projects such as Purchasing, Pharmacy-Sales, Finance, HR, and International business.

Mauricio Villamizar has a Master of Science in Management from KEDGE Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Montpellier Business School, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga. Mauricio also has a Business English certification from the London School of Business and Finance LSBF.
