Classroom Teacher at Pope John XXIII High School

Vanessa Bello is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and tutoring. Currently serving as a Classroom Teacher at Pope John XXIII High School since January 2011, Vanessa develops and implements lesson plans in ELL, psychology, and writing while providing tailored support for international students. Additionally, Vanessa holds the role of Student Government Advisor, engaging students in extracurricular activities and fundraising initiatives. As a JV Volleyball Coach and Mock Trial Coach, Vanessa fosters students' skills in athletics and law. Since September 2015, Vanessa has also tutored international students in history and English through the United Schools Association. Vanessa's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Reading Specialist from Lesley University, a Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Salem State University, and a Bachelor’s in History/Secondary Education from Providence College. Previous experience includes substitute teaching and working as an Assistant Teacher in Japan, enhancing Vanessa's expertise in supporting diverse learners.
