James Scott McKnight has a diverse background in creative and brand development, with experience in various industries such as entertainment and publishing. In 2000, McKnight started their career as a Store Manager at Blockbuster. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong passion for creative development, franchise management, and brand strategy throughout their career.

James Scott McKnight attended various educational institutions in the UK. James Scott began their education journey at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Drama and Theatre Arts. Following this, they attended Motherwell College in 1996 and 1997, earning an HNC in Acting and Performance, focusing on Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts. In 1997, they enrolled at Queen Margaret University, where they studied Drama & Theatre Arts until 2000. After a brief break, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a degree in Contemporary Art at Nottingham Trent University. Lastly, from 2006 to 2008, they studied Graphic Design at the University of the Arts London.
