Marla López Martínez

Marla López Martínez has a diverse work experience in the financial and insurance industry. From 2000 to 2006, they worked as a Financial Advisor at UBS. Marla then joined Popular in 2006 as an AVP, Senior Wealth Advisor in the Wealth Management Division, where they stayed until 2011. In 2011, Marla worked at Allstate as a Personal Financial Representative before returning to Popular in 2012. At Popular, they held various roles including VP, Sales Manager in the Financial & Insurance Services Group, VP, Business Development & Sales at Popular Risk Services, LLC, President of Popular Risk Services, LLC, and most recently, SVP & Division Manager at Popular One Division, where they focus on private banking, financial planning, investments, and insurance.

Marla López Martínez holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Marla is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law, expected to be completed in 2024. Marla also attended the University of Oxford for a short-term Law program at Harris Manchester College in 2022. Additionally, Marla has obtained certifications such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the CFP Board and various securities and insurance certifications from institutions like FINRA and the Puerto Rico Office of the Commissioner of Insurance.
