Abhijit Dutta is Senior Director and Head of Communications & Government Affairs for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region at Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB), the maker of iconic global brands such as Kleenex tissue, Huggies diapers and Kotex sanitary napkins. In this role he is responsible for advancing the company’s purpose of ‘Better Care for a Better World’ across its largest international region with operations in more than 30 countries, including China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. He is a member of their APAC Leadership Team as well as the Global Communications Leadership Team.
Prior to Kimberly-Clark, Abhijit served in a number of regional corporate affairs leadership roles at Rio Tinto (LON: RIO) and Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG), where he championed Public Private Partnerships for global development and advocated for policy initiatives to drive community-centric social impact and sustainable growth.
Abhijit has a long track record of writing about conflict, human rights, and democracies in transition. He is the author of a critically acclaimed work on Myanmar – ‘Myanmar in the World: Journeys through a Changing Burma’ (2018). Abhijit is a citizen of India and a long term resident of Singapore. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, and is currently focused on improving his proficiency of Mandarin.
