Gudmundur has been at the forefront of the design of more than 20 recreation centers, a majority of which have included Natatoriums. With a focus on client service throughout the programming, design and construction process, he not only looks at the initial building design and its impact on the community and surrounding, but the long term operation of that building. Great facilities look and operate the same way they do after 10 years as they do on opening day.

Understanding that everyone’s expertise is vital to the success of the project, Gudmundur takes a team approach that includes the owner, engineers and contractor. He also understands that as the project manager he needs to lead the team to one common goal: serving the need of the client. Gudmundur’s work includes the Williston Area Recreation Center on the Williston State College campus, one of the largest of its kind in the United States at 234,000 square feet.
