Senior Backend Software Engineer at Populus

Liban Miller has a diverse work experience timeline that began as a Legislative Intern at the Maryland General Assembly in 2010. Liban then worked as a Co-op Intern at 3G Wireless, LLC between 2014-2015 where they designed a two-way radio board that saved $5000 for 12 units compared to the previous version. Liban then had a simulations EID internship role at GE Transportation from January to May 2016, followed by an X-ray EID Intern position at GE Healthcare from May to September 2016. At GE Healthcare in 2017, they became a Software Engineer and joined the Edison Engineering Development Program until 2019. During the program, they worked on multiple rotations with different modalities such as PET/CT (Jul 17 - Dec 17) and X-Ray Tubes (Jan 18 - Jul 18) where they enhanced and created applications respectively. In 2019, they became a part of the Edison AI team, taking up the role of Software Engineer until December 2020 where they primarily developed a backend cloud platform using AWS Lambda, S3, and API gateway. Currently, Liban Miller works at Populus as a Senior Backend Software Engineer since May 2023.

Liban Miller studied Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 2014 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science degree.
