Gina Sweetman

Gina Sweetman is an experienced planning and policy consultant with extensive expertise in local and central government policy, planning, and resource management issues. Serving as Chief Advisor at the New Zealand Planning Institute since May 2006, Gina develops and delivers comprehensive Plan Making courses. As the owner of Sweetman Planning Services since October 2010, Gina is an accredited Planning Commissioner focusing on freshwater and development contributions. Additionally, Gina holds various leadership roles, including Chair of multiple hearings panels across several councils, and has provided technical oversight for district plan reviews. With an educational background that includes a Master of Planning and a Bachelor of Planning from the University of Auckland, Gina has established a strong track record in training, management, and professional development in the planning sector.
