Gerard McCarty

Gerard McCarty is a seasoned professional in emergency management with over 25 years of experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of the Office of Emergency Management at the Port Authority of NY & NJ since November 2004, Gerard also holds a position as an Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan College of New York. Previous roles include Chief of Staff at the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services, Division Director for National Preparedness at FEMA Region II, and Deputy Director at the New York City Mayor's Office of Emergency Management. Gerard McCarty earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from John Jay College (CUNY).
