Bermary Maria

Bermary Maria is an experienced educator currently serving as a Dual Language Teacher at Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District since September 2021. Previously, Bermary held the position of Bilingual Teacher at Bridgeport Public Schools from August 2015 to July 2021. Bermary began their career in education as an EOP Peer Mentor at SUNY New Paltz, providing support to first-year students in the Education Opportunity Program, and also worked as a clerical worker in the EOP Office at SUNY New Paltz, managing administrative tasks. Additionally, Bermary contributed to early childhood education by assisting in daily activities at a children’s day care center. Bermary holds a Master's degree in Bilingual and Multilingual Education from Fairfield University and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Childhood Education with a concentration in Spanish from SUNY New Paltz.
