Ivan Tolentino has extensive experience in the education sector, with their most recent position being the Executive Director of Human Resources at Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District. Prior to this, they served as the Principal of Thomas Edison Elementary School in Port Chester, NY for over a decade. Ivan also has a background in the NYC Department of Education, where they held various roles including Founding Principal and Assistant Principal. Ivan began their career as a teacher through Teach For America in 2000.
Ivan Tolentino obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Florida State University in the year 2000. Ivan then pursued their Master of Science Teaching degree from Pace University from 2001 to 2003. Following this, they completed their Master of Science Education Administration degree from Pace University in 2004. Ivan continued their educational journey and is currently working towards a Doctorate in Education Administration from Manhattanville College, starting in 2011.
