Maree Smith

Maree Smith is an experienced professional in the fields of environmental science and toxicology, currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University since 2014. Additionally, Maree has held the position of Laboratory Manager at Port Macquarie Hastings Council since October 2005. Previously, Maree worked as a Research Officer at the National Research Centre for Environmental Toxicology and as a Supervising Scientist at Queensland Health Scientific Services from 1993 to 2004. Early in the career, Maree served as an Analyst at the Food and Agricultural Laboratories of Australia. Maree holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Chemistry from Queensland University of Technology and a Ph.D. in Biodegradation of Cyanotoxins from The University of Queensland.
