Stephen Wood

Stephen Wood is a highly experienced Senior Bridge and Structures Engineer currently employed at Port Macquarie-Hastings Council since January 2018. With a robust background in civil and structural engineering, particularly in heavy industry, port engineering, and transportation infrastructure, Stephen specializes in bridge design. Prior to the current role, Stephen worked at GHD from 2001 to 2018 and held positions including Senior Engineer for Bridges and Structures and Senior Structural and Bridge Engineer, focusing on investigation, assessment, and detailed design for various civil infrastructure projects. Stephen's experience also includes a tenure at Cullen Grummitt & Roe as a Structural and Marine Engineer, where responsibilities included detailed design of container terminal wharf structures. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Newcastle.
