Chris Garbarino is the Chief Operating Officer at Port Newark Container Terminal. Chris has over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry, specializing in container operations. Chris began their career as a management trainee with Sealand-Service Inc. in 1998. Chris then spent two years as a Marine Superintendent/Process Excellence Supv with Horizon Lines in Puerto Rico. In 2003, they became Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager with Dubai Ports World / CSX World Terminals, where they were responsible for operations in Charlotte, NC and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In 2005, they joined Ports America as General Manager of their Savannah, GA operation, where they oversaw a volume of 1.6 million TEUs per year. In 2013, they were promoted to their current position of Chief Operating Officer at Port Newark Container Terminal.

Chris Garbarino has a MBA from Penn State University in Corporate Finance & Supply Chain Mgmt. and a BSBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in Finance/Logistics.

They are on a team with Adam Sulich - VP, IT, Charlie Ferlisi - Reefer, M&R Manager, and Daniel Magrino - Marine Ops Manager. Their manager is James Pelliccio, President and CEO.
