André Magalhães

André Magalhães has a diverse work experience in various commercial and operational roles. André started their career as a Deck Officer at Aliança Navegação e Logística. André then worked at Hamburg Süd, where they held multiple positions including Ship Manager, Head of Marine Operations for North America, Gulf, Caribbean and Mexico, and Regional Manager for Brazil. André later joined APM Terminals as the Head of Commercial, responsible for achieving financial and performance targets and overseeing commercial functions. Most recently, they served as the Commercial Director at Imetame Porto Aracruz, where they developed corporate strategies and sought market opportunities for the organization. André Magalhães currently holds the position of Executive Commercial Director at Complexo do Pecém and Port of Rotterdam.

André Magalhães has an extensive education history. André completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Strategic Management at COPPEAD UFRJ from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA in International Management from Centenary University from 2007 to 2010. André'sundergraduate degree is a Bachelor's in Nautical Science with a focus on Transportation Management, which they obtained from the Merchant Marine Academy in Rio de Janeiro from 1995 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, André Magalhães has obtained several certifications. André holds a Lean Certificate, Level I, II, and III from APM Terminals, which they obtained in June 2021. André also completed a Leadership Executive Program at FGV Educação Executiva in May 2013. Although the obtained month and year are not provided for their other certifications, they have also received training in areas such as Beating Bias, International Maritime Dangerous Goods and Security Compliance, Persuasive Selling, Competition Law, and Compliance Advanced from reputable institutions such as A.P. Moller - Maersk and the National Cargo Bureau.
