Roman van Riel

Roman van Riel is an experienced professional in business development, specializing in electrification and hydrogen at the Port of Rotterdam since February 2021, where the focus is on renewable energy opportunities. Prior experience includes participation in the Almacube Incubation Program as an Innovation Scout, co-founding the podcast series "Let's Talk Trash" with the Erasmus Sustainability Hub, and contributing to the Rotterdam Climate Agreement as a member of the working group on consumption. Roman's educational background includes a Master of Science in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Economics from Erasmus School of Economics, and a minor in ecological perspectives from Erasmus University College.
