Wim Maan

Wim Maan has extensive experience in the maritime industry, currently serving as the Teamleader of the Harbour Coordination Centre and Product Owner at the Port of Rotterdam since May 2011, focusing on automating nautical assessments related to dynamic factors such as wind, tide, and visibility. Prior to this role, Wim worked as a Duty Officer and VTS Supervisor at the Port of Rotterdam N.V. from October 2001 to May 2011, and as a VTS-Operator from 1990 to 2001. Early career experience includes working as a Sailor and Trainee Officer on reefer vessels at Primlax bv between 1984 and 1988. Wim holds a Course Completion Certificate in Scrum Product Owner from Global Knowledge Netherlands, completed in 2019, and has educational affiliation with Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
