Maggie Weber has a diverse range of work experience in the field of planning and environmental enforcement. Maggie started their career as a Campaign Intern for Donna Frye for Mayor in 2005. Maggie then worked as a Legal Intern for the California Coastal Commission and as a Legal Intern for Los Angeles City Councilman Hon. Paul Koretz in 2010. In the same year, they also served as a Research Assistant and Dean's Fellow at Southwestern Law School.

In 2012, Weber joined the California Coastal Commission as a Coastal Program Analyst I, where they played a crucial role in enforcing the Coastal Act legislation and overseeing land use and planning within the Coastal Zone. Maggie was responsible for conducting parcel research, negotiating with opposing counsel and landowners, drafting settlement agreements, presenting staff findings to the Commission, and collaborating with the legislative director to support legislative and policy initiatives.

Weber then moved on to work at the City of Los Angeles in early 2012, where they were involved in fundraising and constituent outreach for a City Council campaign. In 2015, they joined the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission as a Coastal Program Analyst II, focusing on enforcement.

Since 2017, Weber has been working at the Port of San Diego, initially as a Senior Planner and later promoted to the role of Principal of Strategic Planning. Maggie'sresponsibilities included collaborating on and implementing long-range planning projects, with a specific focus on areas such as Air Quality, Greenhouse Gas, and Environmental Justice. Maggie also performed CEQA and Coastal Act analyses for Port projects and initiatives.
