Tim Felton

Deputy Director, Maintenance at PORT OF SAN FRANCISCO

Tim Felton started his career at the Port as a health and safety professional managing chemical exposure programs, hazardous materials handling, asbestos and lead abatement projects, as well as oil spill response. He has progressed through the ranks of the Industrial Hygienist series after gaining his Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) license in 2004. With a strong background in safety and project management, in 2016 he transitioned into the role of Superintendent of Harbor Maintenance and was responsible for pier repair and construction projects along the waterfront. He has assumed the role as Acting Deputy Director since July 2020. Prior to coming to the Port, he has worked as an Environmental Scientist conducting Superfund site investigation as well as a Health and Safety specialist for Apple Computer in Sacramento. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Toxicology from UC Davis.
