Greg Thramer, CPA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 1993, they served as the Finance Director for the Port of Skagit County for seven years. In this role, they supervised and performed various financial functions, such as financial statements, budgets, lease negotiations, and financial analysis.

From 2000 to 2008, they were the Finance Director for the Burlington-Edison School District. Greg successfully passed multiple levies and refinanced bonds to lower interest rates. Greg also played a key role in dropping the current medical plan offerings and adopting the state health plan for employees.

Afterward, they worked as the Finance Director for the City of Burlington, Washington, where they managed the city's finances during challenging economic times and successfully negotiated contracts with different employee groups. Greg also led the conversion of accounting software and refinanced debt while maximizing return on investment. Additionally, they collaborated with a consultant to develop sustainable and long-term sewer rates.

In 2012, Greg Thramer worked as a Certified Public Accountant under their own name. Greg then became the Finance Director for the City of Stanwood, where they served as a lead negotiator and successfully bargained for a two-year contract with the city's bargaining groups. Greg also attended the Labor Relations Institute conference, focusing on public sector bargaining and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Currently, Greg Thramer holds the position of Director of Finance at the Port of Skagit since 2016.

Greg Thramer, CPA began their education at Burlington-Edison, where they pursued studies in an unspecified field but did not earn a degree. Greg then attended Seattle University from 1980 to 1982, focusing on Accounting. Later, from 1982 to 1984, Greg completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business and Accounting at Western Washington University.
