Amy Warren has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and education sectors. Amy started their career as a Nurse-1 at Labrador-Grenfell Health in 2009 and worked there until 2011. Amy then joined College of the North Atlantic as a Practical Nursing Instructor from 2011 to 2012. Amy also briefly worked as a Personal Care Attendant Instructor during that time. In 2012, they became an International Nurse Educator at Labrador-Grenfell Health for a year. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Portage College as a Practical Nursing Instructor and later became the Curriculum Lead Coordinator for the Practical Nursing Program. In these roles, they were responsible for delivering effective instruction, curriculum development, and program management.
Amy Warren obtained a High School Diploma from St. Peter's Academy from 1992-2005. Amy then attended the Western Regional School of Nursing from 2005-2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree. From 2013-2018, Amy pursued a Master's degree in Nursing Education at Memorial University of Newfoundland. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained several certifications, including Foundations in Teaching 1 and 2, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Health Care Providers, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course.
