Michelle Karpinski is the current Community Relations & Enrichment Manager at PORTAGE PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Michelle has also served as the Executive Director of Pretty Lake Camp, Adventure Centre, and Farm, and as Vice President of Development at Kalamazoo Nature Center.

At Pretty Lake Camp, Michelle was responsible for leadership of a $7 million, 100 year old summer camp, experiential education program and farm. The camp's mission is to empower people by providing unique outdoor experiences and adventure education that changes lives and improves the community.

At Kalamazoo Nature Center, Michelle was responsible for planning, development and oversight of all aspects of Fund Development, Membership, Marketing and Public Relations,Guest Services, Retail Operations, Volunteers and Facility Rentals. Michelle also led the staff responsible for the $6 million No Child Left Inside Capital Campaign.

After completing high school, Michelle Karpinski attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where they earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism/Spanish. Michelle then went on to earn an MPA in Non Profit Management from Western Michigan University. Michelle has also received certification from PSIA - AASI Professional Ski Instructors of America - American Association of Snowboard Instructors in AASI Level 1 Snowboard Instructor and from CFRE International in Certified Fund Raising Executive. In addition, they have also been certified by the National Ski Patrol as a Senior Alpine Patroller, OET.

Michelle Karpinski works with Kelly Jensenius - Director of Elementary Education, Dan Vomastek - Director Information & Technology Systems, and Jeanine Mattson-Gearhart - Director of Special Education. Their manager is Mark T. Bielang, Superintendent of Portage Public Schools.
