Shahila M Christie has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Shahila is currently serving as the VP of Growth Strategy & Operations at Portal Innovations, LLC, where they focus on driving growth and overseeing operations. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientific Operations Advisor at the same company. In 2021, they also served as a Startup Mentor at the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of VP of Clinical Development at NovaScan, contributing to the company's clinical development efforts. Shahila also worked as a Senior Consultant at NovaScan during this period. Shahila has a strong interest in empowering women in the field of bio and served as the President of the Women In Bio-Chicago Chapter in 2020. In 2017, they interned as a Healthcare Analyst at Aspire Capital Fund. Prior to that, they co-founded Novalex Therapeutics and served as the CSO from 2013 to 2018.
