Rafael Figueroa has worked in a variety of roles across a range of industries. In 2006, they completed an internship with Google in the Google Maps department. Two years later, they began working for Santander Bank, N.A. in the offshore trading backoffice. In 2010, they became the Founder of Sociedade Verde, where they were responsible for project creation and management, funding, marketing strategy, and the design of integrated production systems. In 2015, they began working for CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico as an R&D Coordinator for Technological Development. In 2017, they began working for FAPESP - São Paulo Foundation of Research as a Lead Researcher for Artificial Intelligence. Finally, in 2013, they founded Portal Telemedicina, an online medical center for interactivity and collaboration between specialists in the area of health and population.
Rafael Figueroa's education history includes graduating from Colégio Objetivo with a Highschool degree in 2003, followed by graduating from Instituto Presbiteriano Mackenzie with an Economy degree in 2006. From 2010 to 2012, they attended Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, where they earned a Bacharel degree in Economic Sciences. In 2015, they attended Baita Aceleradora for acceleration of innovative businesses. In 2016, they attended the University of California, Berkeley for the UC Berkeley International Diploma Programs in Design Thinking. The following year, they attended Google Launchpad Accelerator for Global Entrepreneurship in Entrepreneurship. Rafael is currently attending Aceleradora de Campinas for Aceleração do Negócios Inovadores in Elaboração de Projetos de Fomento; Desenvolvimento de Softwares.
