Steve Rickard

Steve Rickard has extensive experience in the development and construction industry, particularly in the care sector. Steve is currently the Development Director at Porthaven Care Homes, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Castleoak, where they held several positions over a span of 11 years. From February 2015 to June 2021, they served as the Regional Development Director and was responsible for development, design, and construction projects for care providers. From October 2012 to February 2015, they served as the Head of Planning at Castleoak. Before that, from July 2010 to October 2012, they were the Development Manager, overseeing development projects in partnership with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

Steve started their career at Westbury Homes as a Graduate Recruit from September 2001 to March 2003, rotating through various departments and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the operations of a volume house-builder.

Following a break, Steve resumed their studies in 2005, enrolling at the University of the West of England. Steve completed their MA in Town & Country Planning from 2005 to 2008. Later, in 2010, they joined The College of Estate Management and pursued a BSc in Real Estate, which they completed in their final year of 2011.
