Leigh Faugust

Leigh Faugust is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in energy regulation and environmental law. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at Portland General Electric since October 2025, Faugust supports transmission operations and regulatory compliance. Previous roles include Managing Attorney at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, overseeing a team of attorneys and managing cases related to North American Electric Reliability Corporation filings. Additional experience encompasses roles at North American Electric Reliability Corporation, Town of Leesburg as an Environmental Advisory Commission Member and Secretary, and various legal positions including an attorney and legal research assistant. Faugust holds a JD from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies with a focus on Environmental Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
