Sam Carlson

Sam Carlson, CISSP, CISA, currently serves as Product Security Lead at Tektronix since July 2021 and has held a senior IT Security Specialist position at Portland General Electric from 2015 to present. With a strong background in risk management and security initiatives, Sam specializes in networking and cloud technologies, facilitating the rollout of SaaS solutions like ServiceNow and WorkDay. Prior experience includes roles as a Security Analyst at Anitian, focusing on compliance with NIST standards, and at Vanderhouwen & Associates, where Sam conducted malware hunting and ensured compliance with energy regulatory standards. Before that, Sam spent a decade at ADP, progressing through various roles and honing expertise in IT security. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from DeVry University.
