Paula Esguerra

Paula Esguerra is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international relations and cultural exchange. Currently serving as Special Advisor for the Japan Institute at the Portland Japanese Garden, Paula leads peace programming and facilitates inclusive dialogues on peace-making values. Previously, as a Regional Cooperation, Press and Communications Officer at the Embassy of Colombia in Japan, Paula designed and coordinated regional cooperation projects that enhanced Colombia-Japan relations through culture and education. Paula's academic credentials include advanced studies in Japanese language, comparative cultures, global studies, Asian studies, and government and international relations, showcasing a strong foundation in both language and intercultural dynamics.
