Clara Cohan

Clara Cohan has extensive experience as a Temporary Assistant Preparator and Gallery Officer at the Portland Museum of Art since February 2008, where responsibilities include leading the Winslow Homer Studio Team and training new gallery officers. As an Art Instructor at MECA since July 2014 and a professional artist since 1973, Clara specializes in sculpture and videography, focusing on creating works that foster a deeper understanding of humanity's place in the universe. Educational background includes workshops and training at institutions such as the Maine College of Art & Design and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, alongside various experiences at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Art Students League, emphasizing drawing and sculpture.
