Alexis Hamilton

Alexis Hamilton has extensive experience in educational and community outreach within the arts sector, currently serving as the Manager of Education & Community Engagement and previously as the Manager of Education & Outreach at Portland Opera since August 2000. In these roles, responsibilities include curriculum development aligned with Common Core requirements, coordination of community outreach initiatives, concert and lecture design, and management of the touring program Portland Opera To Go. Additionally, experience includes managing budgeting and payroll, collaborating with marketing and development departments, and earlier roles such as Tour Manager/Education & Outreach Assistant and singer for Portland Opera Works. Prior to involvement with Portland Opera, Alexis held positions in administrative support and disability insurance processing. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Gerontology from Portland Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Portland State University.
