Aaron Rosenblum is a seasoned professional in the fields of librarianship and sound curation, currently serving as the Health & Science Librarian at Portland Public Library since December 2020. As the founder and curator of Kentuckiana Sounds, a community-driven sound map and podcast, Aaron has actively contributed to documenting the soundscapes of the greater Louisville area since June 2017. Previous roles include Library Programs Coordinator at Louisville Free Public Library and Associate Curator of Special Collections at The Filson Historical Society, where Aaron emphasized public engagement through programming and exhibit curation. Aaron also has experience in audiovisual preservation and has worked in various capacities at institutions such as McGill University, contributing to research and archival initiatives. Aaron holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies with a focus on Archival Studies from McGill University, along with a BA in Music and Cultural Studies from Hampshire College.
