Stacey Jung

Senior Director HR Operations at Portland Public Schools

Stacey Jung has a range of work experience in different roles and industries. Stacey started their career at Portland Public Schools in 2000, where they held various support roles before becoming a Business Analyst in the Student Information Systems department in 2008. Stacey then became the Student Information Systems Lead in 2009, overseeing a team supporting the school's information systems. In 2012, Stacey transitioned to the role of IT Customer Care Manager, responsible for managing customer service for IT-related issues. Stacey then moved up to the position of Senior Manager, overseeing Info Sec, Change Control, and the Project Management Office. In 2018, they became the Director of HR Operations and later the Senior Director HR Operations in 2020.

Additionally, Stacey co-owns and manages a business called Paths To Our Past since 2005. The business focuses on organizing educational trips for 8th grade students to the east coast and has plans to expand to trips for adults as well.

Stacey Jung obtained their HS Diploma from St. Mary's Academy in 2000. Stacey then attended Portland Community College from 2006 to 2009 but did not complete their degree. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources at Southern New Hampshire University, which they expect to complete in 2023. In addition to their formal education, Stacey has obtained certifications such as Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci in 2022 and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2017. Stacey also holds certifications in Continuity of Operations (COOP) Awareness Course from FEMA in 2014 and ITIL Foundations in 2012.
