Marek Vinkler has a wealth of experience in software engineering and research. Marek began their career in 2010 as a Ph.D. Student/Researcher at Masaryk University. In 2014, they worked as a Researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where they conducted R&D on a project with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. In 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Most recently, they have been a Technical Lead at SolarWinds, where they have been involved in the development of an agent program on monitored devices, SaaS product development, and building a pipeline in Kotlin & Kubernetes. Marek is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Portnox.
Marek Vinkler obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics from Masaryk University Brno in 2008. Marek then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Informatics from the same university in 2010. In 2013, they obtained an RNDr. in Informatics from Masaryk University Brno. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Informatics from Masaryk University Brno in 2015. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications from LinkedIn in 2022: Advanced SQL for Query Tuning and Performance Optimization, C#: Advanced Practices, and Microservices: Design Patterns.
